IT'S ELECTION TIME...WHAT'S YOUR IDEA OF A GOOD LEADER?

This is one of those times that the people are in a state of INDECISION. It is not easy carrying a burden of BEING RESPONSIBLE for voting someone to lead you and your countrymen bearing in mind that one may win over another by ONE VOTE, and it may be yours.

Can you share your views on this for MANY will benefit with the advices...and probably YOURS will be that ONE VOTE to either push one up or pull one down.

In connection to my post WHAT KIND OF LEADER.

I think a good leader is someone that have a combination of charisma, honesty and it has to be intelligent, because they will be taking decisions that will affect to everybody.

what i did was to do a bit of research on the candidates. i looked into the websites of the presidential candidates and looked at their profile, their achievements in office (if they had) and their platforms for the country. i also watched some of the forums and debates on tv. to tell you the truth, i'm voting for richard gordon, a less popular candidate (if you believe what the surveys say), but that's because i think he is capable of leading the philippines. :)

@ laura ~ thanks for sharing...you're right, their decision will affect everyone. IF ONLY they will also THINK OF EVERYONE each time and not just themselves!

@ sendzki ~ it really is a difficult to decide on which one...gladly, our church will do the choosing. because truth be told, we are not anymore FOR THIS WORLD but for the next. so we choose PRIMARILY who will NOT get into God's Commandment's way(which we truly follow and give importance to).

@ moonchild ~ honestly, i also prefer Gordon over others...well, that is if the Church Administration believes him truly worth voting for, then he will get our vote.

I do like Gibo but his reputations were smeared by the tricks ran by the administration - being a representative of GMA's admin. If he did not run for President under GMA in the first place, he is probably earning my vote. Looking at the recent survey, even if I cast my vote to Gibo or Gordon, there is no way they can win over Villar. I don't want to waste one vote over someone that obviously won't win. Right now, with a dirtier game of politics going on, I could say I like to cast my vote to a lesser evil. Of course, it won't be Villar. Just my two cents.

Here is a good article that suggests the good characteristics of a President:
