One of the most misunderstood notion in the present time is the pity we give to singles or spinsters, or in a lay man’s term Old Maid’s.
How can we pity someone who chooses that very life we pity them from living? Have we ever asked our self, does she prefers the chaotic life of being married or living in peace? Or maybe the responsibility of raising children or simply helping if can be in raising her nieces and nephews? Are they so unlucky to be having in the palm of her hands the time that parents or wives seek for even just for a day?
It is their own choosing not to give themselves to a man who they think will only use them, or to a man who they don’t feel they can love. Lucky are they who are the wiser when it comes to sticking to what they believe will be best for them. Fortunate are they to have recognized what they really want. They are women who uses their head where it is due and not their hearts that will eventually break if not careful. They follow how God placed the heads above the hearts and not the other way around.
And so, CHEERS to all spinsters for having the strength to live on their own and being happy about it!
