Up until now, it continues to amaze me of human genetic make-up. Every so often I commented on it saying “God is magnificent!” and “God’s a genius”. I cannot get over the immeasurable knowledge that He have, and that truth can be highlighted in every little thing around us.
That is the next thought to my dream when I woke up this morning. And it is whenever I look at my daughter. A lot of people gets stupefied with her wit, on how at 4 she talks and thinks like an adult. Her comments at times make me laugh out loud due to its unexpectedness. Sometimes people say it’s the milk I took while I was carrying her, Anmum, or the milk she is taking now, Pediasure. But often I hear them say “It’s the genes”. Well, rightly so because the family, I can say, is not below average in wit. (yeah, yeah…exclude me if you want hehehe).
But it’s not just her thinking ability, or her astute memory (yes she plays the card game Memory Game and almost beat me to it), or her early reading and drawing abilities. But that also of her sleeping ritual of tickling her palms with the ruffles of her bolster pillow just as my brother does with the points of his rectangular pillow, or her crossing her legs when she sleeps like my sister does, or her being overly concerned with that the cabinet door was left open like me. So many like this that i believe to definitely points to the genes. Hereditarily acquired, right?

I think its a combo of genes and learned behavior, but I find all of those thing fascinating! My niece will do things or say things just like my sister and I did and I have to do a double take!
