STIMULATE YOUR KIDS DEVELOPMENT (PART3)

At 12 months and up your baby comprehends more of what you say, and is responsive. They follow instructions now as well. They can categorize and recognize different sizes, shapes and colors. This is the age of experimenting independence and so do not be surprised to suddenly decides to crawl away from you, stands-up and walk. They are mostly bending to pick up things. Their motor skills are much improved by this time. It is also natural for them to be possessive of their toys. Sharing is not within their learning's yet.

Personally, I find this stage most exciting. Their development is truly evident on this stage and providing them more care and attention is just normal. It is advisable to provide them with stuffed toys for their emotions to further develop thus learning socializing. I remember making all my little girl's toys talk to her. She loves that. Actually until now, she enjoy talking to her favorite cuddle, Shoku. Simple puzzles develops finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination, and so with blocks and stacking toys. Shape sorters can improve further visual and tactile stimulation. Toys with buttons, levers and lids are common attention grabber to them, just be definite of their safety
