More often than not, moms are caught between wanting to finish her chores and spending quality time with her family. It is true that life is not getting easier these days. That parents need to give more of their time to work instead of their own leisure. BUT parents can sacrifice their personal needs and happiness NOT their kids.
And so it is a must that we know how to manage our time. The 24 hours given us must be divided appropriately. A greater portion to the family than to work...and that family time also have to be portioned between the family's spiritual endeavors and worldly needs. It is our responsibility to make sure that we are giving our family utmost attention to every aspect of their life. They have varying needs and we must provide them. Support to their school activities, guidance to choosing their circle of friends, and even to sharing with them the time they need to be with us. To feel loved and to feel prioritized. Play with them, watch movies with them...simply being a part of their day is worthwhile for them.
Latest activity I did with Anya that truly made her happy is to watch her most awaited Disney movie, Tangled. And she especially loved it because we did it with her dad. She felt secured and loved having both her parents with her. Try it. Not only because of Tangled, you can try other kiddie movie, but the presence of the whole family is what is most important. But if your kid enjoys disney movies, they will definitely enjoy Tangled. It's the traditional Rapunzel with a nice twist. Funny, entertaining. It made me laugh, it made me cry. Truly worth recommending.
