Every parent gets excited of having a baby, especially the mother. The very moment that they see the plus sign in their test pack, they get increase heart rate with the fast forward scenes in their mind. Her getting the big tummy, the nursery or baby room, the baby things, the toddler stage, the growing up.
Whoa! Too fast, huh?! Let's go back to the welcoming stage! The baby shower. This is something we just have to have. When you got engaged you had an engagement party, you even had a bridal shower...and it's just for you. What more for someone so tiny and so special?
So you start planning the 4 W's, the Who, When, and Where, and the What. There's so much to do actually, and it makes you more excited as you go along. The food to serve, will it be finger foods, a snack or a meal? Who will you be expecting to be there? Your family and friends most probably. Where will it be? At home or someplace else, like in a restaurant? And of course, do not forget the baby shower favors. There's so much to choose from. Pretty little things, but I want something more than just a beauty. I want it useful for them who will get them as well. I fell in love with this flip flop that is also a manicure set hiding inside the zipper. Surprising to see something as cute as this be as useful as well.
I have been to a lot of baby showers, and they pretty much have the same scenario...but what it special for me is the happiness in the welcoming and the favors to take home with me!
