We were out in a mall to have a last minute shopping for the New Year’s Eve when a lady carrying her toddler raising her voice to 2 guards caught my attention. I was a few feet away yet from her with my kid walking beside me when I “almost” missed a spilled-something on the already slippery floor. With a few other people going our way I suddenly heard her end of the sentence “delikado yan!” (“that’s dangerous!”) made me look at the floor and in time grabbed my daughter before she slip. One of the guards then positioned himself in the puddle itself to keep others from stepping into it, and the other guard clapping loudly to get the attention of someone from a far distance (probably the maintenance man or janitor). As we passed on I chanced to look at the lady, and it seems she is agitated still, continuously reprimanding the guards. More like she had actually fallen and slipped with a toddler in her arms, the reason she is more than just a concerned citizen.
I remembered this incident just now upon reading about this Hawaii Slip and Fall Lawyer. They are who we need at times like this, especially if and when there were more damages done to the lady or her toddler.
