SUMMER LEARNINGS = SUMMER FUN

School is finally over! Hear them shout "SUMMER VACATION here we come!"

This is one of the most awaited time of the year for the students in the country. Because after months of assignments, projects, quizzes, examinations...they are totally free of them. For a few weeks they have the freedom to stay longer in bed, option of where to go for the day and what to do, please their love ones and bond with them.

But believe it or not, in just a few days they will get bored. Constant provision of activities in school made them crave for more activities including learning and development. Waste not the summer. Enroll them in classes they will further grow. If they are inclined with music, make them choose which instrument, could be singing or dancing. If they love art, painting, photography, weaving, sculpting. I could also be more useful learning's like another language. Driving if at the right age and responsibility meter is high. Whatever that they will enjoy and at the same time benefit from.

REMEMBER though to choose to make the schedule not too tight. Just a few hours probably. So they would still have longer time to relax, play and have a spare time to decide what to do with the remaining hours of the day.

WORKOUT JOKE

We do need a little laugh each day. It is said that you are using more muscles when frowning that when smiling...so smile and do away with wrinkle. Here is one of those clean jokes I have heard of that you might enjoy reading. Have a SMILE FILLED DAY!

Potato Sack Workout Program

As I was working to find a good exercise plan this year to improve my physical fitness, I came across this exercise to build muscle strength in the arms and shoulders. It seems so easy that I decided to share it with others.

Begin by standing on a comfortable surface, where you have plenty of room at each side. With a 5-lb. potato sack in each hand, extend your arms straight out from your sides and hold them there as long as you can. Try to reach a full minute, then relax. Each day, you'll find that you can hold this position for just a bit longer. After a couple of weeks, move up to 10-lb. potato sacks, then 50-lb. potato sacks, and eventually try to get to where you can lift a 100-lb. potato sack in each hand and hold your arms straight for more than a full minute.

After you feel confident at that level, put a potato in each of the sacks; but be careful, you don't want to hurt yourself!

FUN DAY AT FUN HOUSE

A few hours at the Fun House garners me an “I love you, mom!” from my charming li’l one. I bought her 5 tokens only at a cost of P25.00 (just so we can go right away) but then she won more and more with the matching game, and lots of tickets form other games available she exchanged for small items she again thanked me for with “Ang bait mo talaga, mom” (“You’re really so kind, mom”)

Nothing can surpass the love and happiness I feel when I see that twinkle in her eyes and the kisses and embraces I get with just a few quality hours with her.

They grow so fast…let not a single day pass you by!

YEAR END SOCIALIZING

At this time of the year, party after party come and go. We have reunions and get-together's to go to, bonding time, enjoying time.

But I just cannot go to all of them, to my disappointment. Well, I'm not as I used to be. Responsibilities goes in the way (or rather being prioritized). One of which that I missed this year is the Year End Socializing that singles in our church have. An occasion to get to know other brethren in my same status, single and available (hihihi!). And also a means to have fun, be beautiful in a formal attire and attract the admiring eyes of other ladies and the roaming eyes of bachelors.

Oh well...some other time. There's more to come.
